When KPMADEME first started, the deeper meaning behind it wasn’t fully realized
I didn’t know a simple flower would become something people around me connected with.
One summer, my friend Kyzer—an unbelievably talented artist from New York City—hit me saying:
“Need the flower one.”
Knowing how much he loved Carhartt, i made him a pair of blue Carhartt pants with KP flowers in white.
When i finally made the trip to NYC to hand deliver them,
Kyzer had suffered an accident and was in the hospital.
I was still able to bring him his flowers
just not in the way I ever imagined
A few months ago, Kyzer entered heaven to paint the skies.
That’s when it really hit me
KPMADEME isn’t about me
It’s about giving people their flowers while they’re here to receive them.
telling people, we love them
that we see them
that we appreciate them
while we still can.
Kyzer deserves his flowers then, now, and forever.
